Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how LinkGuard AI (operated by Andrii Andriievskyi, FOP, Ukraine) uses cookies and similar technologies on linkguard.ai. We keep it minimal — only the cookies required to run the service.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as your login session or display preferences. We use only the cookies necessary to operate the service securely.
2. Cookies We Use
LinkGuard AI uses the minimum cookies required to provide a secure, functional service:

Security note: Both access_token and refresh_token are stored as HTTPOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict cookies. This means they cannot be accessed by JavaScript and are not transmitted on cross-site requests, protecting against XSS and CSRF attacks.
3. What We Do Not Use
We do not use:
- Analytics cookies of any kind — we do measure traffic on our public pages, but with a tool that sets none (see §3.1)
- Marketing or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.)
- Advertising cookies of any kind
- Fingerprinting scripts beyond the session authentication flow
3.1 The Analytics We Do Run — And Why It Needs No Cookie
Saying “no analytics cookies” would be a half-truth if we did not tell you what we use instead. Our public pages — the homepage, /tools, the blog, the comparison pages and these legal pages — carry a tag from Statable, a cookieless analytics service run by Key Arg B.V. in the Netherlands. It tells us which pages people find and where they leave. That is the whole purpose.
It sets no cookie and writes nothing to your device — no localStorage, no sessionStorage. Statable’s own policy puts it plainly: the script “does not use cookies, browser storage (such as localStorage or sessionStorage) or device fingerprinting techniques to identify visitors.” Instead it derives a pseudonymous identifier that is recomputed daily and cannot be linked across websites, and your raw IP address is never stored.
Because nothing is stored on your device, this is outside what the ePrivacy Directive and PECR regulate, which is why linkguard.ai has no cookie banner. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the script sends nothing at all; a content blocker stops it just as effectively, and the site works exactly the same. Two pages deliberately have no analytics tag on them at all: password reset and email verification. Their URLs carry a one-time token and an email address, and neither belongs anywhere near a third-party server.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Third-party cookies may be set only in the following scenarios:
- Google OAuth — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies as part of the OAuth flow. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Telegram OAuth — if you sign in with Telegram, Telegram's widget sets a transient cookie. Governed by Telegram's Privacy Policy.
- Paddle checkout — when you initiate a token purchase, Paddle.com sets cookies in the checkout overlay to process the payment securely. Governed by Paddle's Privacy Policy.
None of these set a cookie unless you start the flow yourself. Outside of them, the only third-party script on linkguard.ai is the cookieless Statable tag described in §3.1 — and it sets no cookies at all. No tracking cookie of any kind is loaded on any page of linkguard.ai.
5. How to Control Cookies
5.1 Browser Settings
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View all cookies currently stored
- Delete individual cookies or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block all third-party cookies
- Clear all cookies automatically when you close the browser
5.2 Impact of Disabling Cookies
If you disable essential cookies on linkguard.ai:
- You will not be able to log in or maintain a session
- The dashboard will not function correctly
- Your sidebar preference will not be remembered
Because we do not use analytics or marketing cookies, disabling non-essential cookies has no functional impact beyond the above.

6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before the effective date. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
